Ceramics

I spend a lot of time outside with my horses so I love the out doors and all things natural. My works focusses on an organic/natural theme making each piece unique to one another with their surfaces and textures. My love for the outdoor world has definitely been the inspiration for my ceramics and the colours I use.
However more recently I have still enjoyed the natural textures but with brighter shinier surfaces. To create these brighter surfaces I have used a mixture of glazes and oxides in a haphazard way Which makes the outcome different each time this is one of the things I love about ceramics.
Most of my previous work has always been hand built but in the last few months I have been trying to develop the skill of throwing something which is a lot harder than it looks. I look forward to developing this skill further in the future.
