I paint using mainly oils and acrylics, and often chose to start a new piece by working over an old one - I  look for serendipitous sections of colour and shape that I can incorporate from the old image into the new.

Colour and light are what excite me most - whether it's an industrial/city scape or something more traditionally picturesque.
