Lucy has lived in the Cheddar Valley for many years. Although not a trained artist she has managed to combine her passion for painting and drawing with family and business life.

 

She paints in oils and acrylics, loving the variety of mark making and texture that can be used to build up an image and also draws in pastels and charcoal.

 

Colour and light are what excite her most, whether exploring the local landscape (there's so much variety, so much inspiration!), a still life in the studio if it's raining, or trying to capture the essence of someone in a portrait.
